Research deeply connected to a constant confrontation between Art, Architecture and Technology is the leitmotif of the style of Lorena Alessio, an architect from Turin and founder of the Lorena Alessio Architetti studio.
Her interest in the infinitely small, the mutability of nature and her life experiences in culturally distant countries translate into evocative and wide-ranging architectural proposals, combined with her interest in the study of Italian and Japanese cities. Lorena Alessio has a strong Design Management ability, collaborating with Bovis Lend Lease and coordinating large projects, such as Canale Vigolungo Showroom for which she designed innovative poplar buildings, using plywood without screws as in the Japanese tradition, or Reba Hotels in Courmayeur, scheduled to open in 2026.
The multiple experiences that the architect has to his credit go into three major strands: Teaching, Design and Design Management, not to mention significant collaborations with some of the most prestigious architecture magazines. Design is a distinctive feature, as he loves to experiment with innovative ideas. One of the most original is the TTT workshop (Turin, Taichung, Tokyo) that takes students to a different place every year, following the logic that 'where you go, you build something with the materials closest to the territory', for example in Taiwan with bamboo, using the help and skills of local craftsmen.
